Overview

You'll find Calf Hey reservoir on the Grane Road to Haslingden, where there are signposted car parks on both sides. One has a visitor centre and cafe (called Clough Head), and the other, which is closest to the reservoir, has a free car park that shuts at 5pm.

The paths are all well maintained, and sticking to them it will take you 30 to 45 minutes to complete a full loop of the reservoir. However, for those a bit more adventurous and agile, you can take one of the paths into the woodland, which are steeper but offer excellent views.

This is an area very popular with dog walkers. Just remember to keep a close eye on your dog and never go swimming.
